On behalf of the branch I wish to thank the Sunday morning dart league who presented a check for $375.00 to the branch. Seen presenting the check are Team Captain Terry Baker and Della Sanderson. The Della Sanderson trophy was purchased by the league in memory of Comrade Peter Sanderson who passed away last year. Congratulations to all the participants.
As a small token of our appreciation on April 27th Branch 423 presented to the Alexandria Fire Department a check for $500.00. These are members of our community that put their own lives on the line for all of us.

This year's program is a way to recognize the signing of the armistice that formally ended the fighting on Nov. 11, 1918.
The Remembrance Day Ceremony, to be held at the Cenotaph on Main St., North in Alexandria, Ontario, starting at 11 a.m.
As always, members of the public are invited to attend the ceremony in their respective communities.

In co-operation with the Imperial War Museum in London, England, the National Archives of Canada and the Canadian War Museum, the NFB had conducted a comprehensive inventory of Canadian Expeditionary Force footage available for consultation around the world.
